The winery, MontGras, has a very special location at Monte Ninquén, which for centuries has characterized the lands at its foot with mineral leaching. This is clearly expressed in the reserva wines. Hernán Gras decided to grow wine in the area and planted 290 hectares of vines. Only hand-sorted grapes from selected parcels are included in the production of the MontGras Reserva wines. The aging in small casks of French and American oak makes the wines suitable for aging and gives them their particular complexity and structure. In this way, they connect artisanal perfection with the unique character of the Colchagua Valley. The MontGras Reserva wines are among the most highly awarded wines in Chile, and they regularly provide impressive proof of their extraordinary class.
