Description
Antiche Terres Amarone is the house's flagship. Only the best bunches are picked and dried, thereby concentrating the grape must. The strong must is left together with the grape must for 15-20 days. The wine is then stored in French barriques for up to 18 months. Antiche Terres Amarone is a DOCG wine, and thus the production must follow certain rules, which ensure a top-class wine. Where other Amarone wines can seem bombastic, Antiche Terres is refined, characterful and elegantly balanced. The wine is intense red and velvety, with aromatic notes of amarena cherry, blackcurrant and dried fruit. Recommended for grilled or fried red meat and game. The bottle is preferably opened up to an hour before serving, and served in large, deep glasses.
